
Snatches & Chest to Bar Pull Ups
Okay, to be perfectly honest, I haven’t been as dedicated to my workouts as I should be. After breaking my hand in late October, recovering from surgery, spraining my knee in January (an adventure totally worth it), & messing up an ankle in March (again, all for an adventure)…. I lost a bit of my mojo. To say I’m a bit accident prone is putting it nicely.
Well, I’m back on that ass kickin’ wagon! The difference in my mood, productivity, & overall feeling of kickassery is night & day depending on whether I got my butt to the box at 5am or not.
Example:
Yesterday I slept in, rushed through my day, & didn’t get my workout in until 5:30 at night. I was tired, frazzled, & a little crabby by the end of the day.
Today, I got my butt out of bed, had a solid workout, & since getting home I’ve gotten more accomplished in an hour then I did all day yesterday. By 7am: Laundry is going, dinner is cooking, breakfast is ready, & my littlest littles are just making their way downstairs to start the day with a happy momma.
Moral of the story; take a slice of the day for your physical & mental health. It’ll make all the difference. It doesn’t matter what you kind of workout you choose, just get it done!
