Life is ever moving, you should be too.
Lifeguard or Coach?
If you were drowning, would you rather have a lifeguard or a swim coach? Obviously, you’d need a lifeguard, but wouldn’t it be nice to know how to swim to avoid drowning in the first place? If you consider healthcare in these terms, your doctor is the lifeguard and we are the swim coach.
There is no doubt that doctors are extremely important, but they are the people you go to see when you are drowning in ailments or poor health. We are here to help you avoid poor health caused by chronic illness and inactivity by providing physical training and nutrition coaching so you can live a full life. As experts in our field, we see people of all ages and fitness levels. People come to us to increase their strength or mobility and end up making healthier choices in every aspect of their lives. This overall lifestyle change is the preventative medicine that improves their quality of life without medication. Knowing how to reverse or avoid chronic illness and inflammation is the key. Our members have all discovered this and we hope to help more people take charge of their health & wellness.
Prevention is the best medicine
In an effort to help more people realize their potential, we are hosting an online challenge starting September 16th. This Whole Life Challenge is a fun way to get the community at large involved while opening up the conversation about what it means to live healthier lives. You don’t have to be a CrossFitter or a member at Four Pillars to join.
This challenge is structured with nutrition guides, recipes, an app for tracking your progress, as well as many additional benefits to keep you motivated and inspired. Throughout the challenge you will practice the 7 Daily Habits with the ultimate goal of incorporating them into your life. These habits are nutrition, exercise, mobility, sleep, hydration, lifestyle, and reflect. We’ll focus on what you eat and drink, how you move, your sleep, and even your mental wellbeing. This challenge is not a weight loss challenge, it is about improving your overall health. All it takes is your commitment to yourself; to move for 10 minutes a day, try to sleep more, and make healthier food choices.
Remember when running and climbing trees or swinging on playground equipment was fun? When the thought of being active didn’t seem like a chore? That youthful energy can be yours again and in finding it, you will set an example of health that inspires your children or grandchildren to stay active and make healthy choices throughout their lives. Getting older doesn’t mean you have to slow down, deal with daily pain, or rely on a regimen of pills.
